Group 1 spends 78 per cent more time each season supervising approxi- mately the same number of irrigations than does Group 3. The same point of view is well illustrated under "Value per acre" classification. Group 1 spends days per acre; Group 2, days; Group 3, days. CPRAYINGâMuch progress has been ^ made during the past few years in appli- cation of sprays, combinations, dilutions, and timeliness. This is reflected in higher percentages of extra fancy fruit. The most striking introduction has been the use of the spray gun in place of the long, cumbersome spray rod. Greater efficiency in the use of labor and material has resulted.
