The Metropolitan Water and Sewerage Board, established underthe provisions of chapter 168 of the Acts of the year 1901, respect-fully submits its FIEST ANNUAL REPORT. The Metropolitan Water Board and the Board of MetropolitanSewerage Commissioners were consolidated by the said Act of theyear 1901, which was approved and took effect on March 20. Thepresent report is made to embrace the work and operations of theMetropolitan Water Board for the period beginning with January 1,1901, the date of its last annual report, to March 20, 1901 ; andof the Board of INIetropolitan Sewerage Commissioners for the periodbeginning with October 1, 1900, the date of its last annual report,to March 20, 1901 ; and of the Metropolitan Water and
