This is an Oilett postcard by Tuck entitled "The Suffragette" As the suffragette movement gained popularity in the early 1900's, the picture postcard industry capitalized on men's unease about women's suffrage by belittling women fighting for the right to vote. Here the Suffragette is depicted as not to being taken seriously and is reduced to giving her address to a puzzled group of young children.
