This course oftreatment covers a period of forty days, a period sufficient to makethe withdrawal of the morphine very gradual, while the treatment,which is a tonic in its nature, carries on a building up process ren-dering recovery comparatively easy in the majority of cases. Mor-phine sufficient to support a 6-grain case for forty days at retail.
