St Hywyn's Church, Aberdaron: view SW over the churchyard & twin aisles to Aberdaron Bay. Norman & Medieval, the principal parish church of Lleyn, built near the SW tip of the Peninsula & the embarkation point for pilgrims to Bardsey Island. N aisle (R) was original nave & chancel, S aisle (L) added in C16th. The poet R. S. Thomas was vicar here 1967-78.
