City of Edinburgh, Scotland. Building facades on the north side of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile at Canongate, with the Canongate Tolbooth in the background. Now the Tolbooth Tavern and Peoples Story Museum, the original Canongate Tolbooth was used to collect tolls and was also utilised as a courtroom, jail and council house. This photograph has been produced by merging three differently exposed images of the same scene. All of which were captured at approximately the same time - on a tripod mounted camera – and digitally processed to produce the resulting artistic rendition of the scene.
