SAN DIEGO (May 27, 2021) Rear Adm. Howard III, Commander, Naval Special Warfare Command and his wife Sarah lay a wreath in observance of Memorial Day on the Extortion 17 Memorial. The Extortion 17 helicopter crash claimed the lives of 38 people, including 22 NSW personnel in Afghanistan Aug. 6, 2011.
