In these cases it must be recognisedthat if benefit is to be received the possibility of damage to the skin mustbe partially disregarded, though all precautions must be taken to avoid it orreduce it to a minimum. But several cases have remained stationary until a degree of ulcerationof the skin surface has been brought about. This will gradually heal, andat the same time the glands slowly subside.
