A late 19th Century illustration from the Book of Daniel of Daniel interpreting the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar who reigned from 605 to 562 conquered Jerusalem and deported the Jews. The king originally called for his magi to interpret the dream, but refused to describe it, consequently the wise men were unable to do so, and Daniel one of those deported from Israel and granted an education in the king’s palace appeared. He asked the king for some time to discover the dream, prayed all night until God revealed the dream to him, and went to the king and interpreted the dream.
