Military police from the California Army National Guard supported law enforcement late July in Redding, California, after the Carr Fire erupted and destroyed 700 structures and torched nearly 110,000 acres in just over a week. Army Sgt Gustavo Lucatero and Pfc. Taylor Brunolli of the 270th Military Police Company, 185th Military Police Battalion, 49th Military Police Brigade, California Army National Guard, control a traffic point at an active intersection July 31 where the Carr Fire passed through and continued to expand.
