According the Gaza Health Ministry six Palestinians have been killed by Israeli live fire and over two hundred wounded by Israeli live ammunition and tear gas during this Friday protest along the Gaza border with Israel. Thousands of Palestinians attended the March of Return rally and some burnt tyres and threw stones towards the fence and the Israeli soldiers positioned on the other side. According to Israeli military sources some of the protesters also threw firebombs and explosive devices and some protester crossed the border fence approaching the position of Israeli snipers who responded with fire and killing three of them. Since March 30th, Palestinian demonstrators have been attending the Great March of Return rallies to demand the lift of Israel's 11-year blockade on the Gaza Strip, which has seriously affected its economy and caused a humanitarian crisis among Gazans. They have also called for right of return of Palestinian refugees and their descendants to their homes and villages from which they fled or were driven out in 1948 to make way for the newly created state of Israel
