In a retirement ceremony held on Jan. 16, 2016, co-hosted by the Army Reserve and the University of South Florida, Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Talley, Chief of the Army Reserve, recognized Maj. Gen. Luis Visot for his more than 37 years of service to the Army and the nation. During his remarks, Visot asked various groups who were part of his life to stand and be recognized so he could thank them for their place in his remarkable career.
