This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Milky Way, submillimetre image. Galactic plane of the Milky Way seen in the submillimetre portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between infrared and radio. This image combines data from the Planck space observatory and the Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX). APEX is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, the Onsala Space Observatory, and the European Southern Observatory, ESO. The telescope is operated by ESO. Image published in 2018.
