Police draw batons as they force back protesters from the Syrian Embassy in London


Syrian protesters clash with police outside the Syrian Embassy in London on Saturday afternoon. Serial hundred people had gathered for the protest with a low profile police presence. A group in one section of the crowd hen breached the barriers and ran towards the Embassy. For around an hour there were several clashed with police who donned riot gear and drew batons to keep the protesters from getting too close to the embassy. Bottles stones and other missiles were thrown at the embassy damaging windows. Police made several arrest and have now contained the crowd behind barriers again.
