Mourne Wall in the Mourne Mountains, Northern Ireland, UK
The Mourne Wall traverses over 22 miles of mountains, connecting the peaks. The stones were all laid by hand and took many years to complete. The primary purpose was to keep sheep out of the water catchment area to protect water quality. The wall can be seen on the furthest hills in this photo, though it is very far away at that point and hard to spot.
