Bruce McLaren's sister, Jan, sitting alongside the 'slimline' Cooper T70, developed by Bruce and Wally Wilmott, to contest the Tasman Series in 1964. The shorter races races, enabled Bruce and Wally to lighten the car and position a fuel tank under the seat and to also stiffen the chassis. The car is fitted with a 4 cylinder litre Coventry Climax engine. The car was displayed at the official opening of the Hampton Downs race track, in North Waikato, about half way between Auckland and Hamilton, at the NZ Festival of Motor Racing, celebrating Bruce McLaren, January 22nd 2010.
