A wild tortoise, about 20cm long found crossing a country road in Greece.

This sizeable toirtoise was found slowly plodding along the white line down the centre of a very quiet country road near Andritsena, Greece. Fortunately there no traffic about. After having his photgraph taken he was helped into the vegetation at the side of the road and, hopefully, to safety.
