This representation is cpiite in accordance with the spiritof representing the vanquished lying under the feet of the monarcli, tlie white and blackraces bound hand and foot under the sandals of mummies, or thrown in this condition intothe regions of the reprobate in the Amenti. Among the principal Asiatics thus placed maybe the Polosto or Philistines, the Sharo or Syrians ; and among the Nuliian tribes, Phut orLibya, Koush or Ethiopia, and Nub or Nubia. The present probably re})resents Pasht, whowas the Diana of the Eg
