There are ten temples dotting the circumference of the Lonar Crater in Maharashtra, India, surrounded by thick forests.
Lonar Crater was formed roughly 50,000 years ago when a giant meteor crashed into earth. Around the 5th to 9th Century AD, various ruling dynasties, from the Chalukyas to the Yadavas, constructed a total of 10 beautiful rock cut temples around the lake. These temples are a prime example of the hemadpanthi Style of Architecture
