Military personnel belonging to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) gather near the T·chira river, the natural border between Venezuela and Colombia, during military operations to defend and protect the border crossing. According to official sources there was a deployment of more than 1,300 soldiers as well as policemen belonging to the different components of the Venezuelan Armed Forces, through an operation whose main objective is to control the illegal roads known as "Trochas" to cross the border and, in this way, reduce crime in the area bordering Colombia.
