LEEDS BROWN, of East Granby, Conn.,enlisted October 25, 1S61; mus-tered in November 2, 1861; honorably dis-charged November 2, 1S64, time expired. Artificer Leeds Bro\vn came fromQuaker stock and was the first member ofhis family to use carnal weapons in main-tenance of right. Comrade Brown was a deep thinkeron religious subjects, and many a pleasanthour was spent listening to his argumentswith different comrades. In ball gameshe proved himself an expert in catchingthe ball, astonishing and amusing thecomrades bv his daring and science.
