OKINAWA, Japan (Nov. 29, 2016) Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB 5) move chains and cargo nets on Camp Shields during an embark exercise. The Exercise tests the commands ability to mobilize within 48 hours to react to different types of types of contingency operations around the world. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme
