Lt. Gen. David H. Berger and Lt. Gen. Sang Hoon Lee, commandant of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, add a ribbon to the Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium flag to signify the third year of this event at the opening ceremony held in South Korea, April 1, 2017. Berger is the Marine Corps Forces, Pacific commander. The purpose of PALS is to bring together senior leaders of allied and partner militaries with an interest in amphibious operations and capability development.
