The island of Landes is facing the tip of is a bird sanctuary which has over 1,000 pairs of gulls. The particularity of this island is its polystrate appearance . Layers of algae, lichen, black, yellow lichens and plants halophytes overlap horizontally. The island irradiated by the sun sends enough fantastic colors, contrasting with a horizon (Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel) to various shades.
