On a road trip traveling through upper state New York and along the shores of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes, USA) I captured this serene and peaceful beach scene on its western shores in early October, 2004. A beautiful part of the country, unseasonably warm that year. Not long after this more winter-like conditions prevailed, as they always do in this scenic, yet rugged, northern part of the country.
