ILLUMINATION Illumination for the general body of the car and the berthsis provided by means of a generous number of 8-cp, 32-voltspherical incandescent lamps fed from a Gould storage batterycarried in a case under the car. The control board for thelighting circuits is installed against the toilet-room partitionon one of the platforms. Trolley connections are provided forcharging the battery from the line through resistance. Generalillumination is had from three lamps mounted against the ceil -.
