He was buried at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Cabaret Rouge Cemetery (grave plot N16) at Souchez (14 km. north of Arras, sw. of Lille), France. Sheehan is commemorated on a panel of the Parliamentary War Memorial in Westminster Hall, one of MP's sons that died during World War I to be named on that memorial.[1][2] His brother Martin J Sheehan, RAF was killed in October 1918, his uncle Robert O'Connor killed at Passchendaele in July 1917.
