TUBA MAJOR.—The name employed in some instances todesignate the Contra-Tuba, 16 ft., but more commonly applied tosuch a stop as the Tuba Magna (q. v. ). TUBA MINOR.—The name appropriately given to a Tuba,8 ft., of small scale, yielding a softer voice than that of the otherTubas.
