There wasabundant precipitation in the northern counties, and about thenormal amount in the southern portion of the district. Themonthl} snowfall was hea\y in the north, and exceptionallylight in the extreme south. The sunshine was ample. The monthly mean temperature ranged from 22°, in thenorthwestern portion of Sussex County, to 31° in Cape MayCounty, and averaged ° per day below the normal.
