FORT HUNTER LIGGETT (Sept. 29, 2015) – Naval Construction Force (NCG) 1 Commodore Capt. Christopher Kurgan talks with Steelworker 3rd Class Samuel Rojas, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, as he mans an assault position at Camp Rovinski in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., during the 2015 Field Training Exercise (FTX), Sept. 29. The training is designed to exercise all aspects of the battalion’s defensive and operational capabilities from manning a fighting position on the company lines, to reacting to chemical warfare threats and improvised explosive devices.
