CAMP SMITH, Peekskill, -- Maria Placido, mother of Sgt. Joseph Calleja of the 727th Military Police (Law and Order) Detachment occupies her grandson during the units departure ceremony, Nov 27. The Queens New York family traveled to Peekskill to join hundreds of family members as they said farewell to 45 members of the unit. The Soldiers departed for mobilization training at Ft. Bliss, Texas and will serve in northern Afghanistan.
