Grains are long and pointed, rich cream color when ready, but turn to light golden-yellow when cooked. The cob is of snjall diameter, and contains twelve to eighteen rows of long, thick grains which cover the entire surface and are deep orange in color, extremely juicy and sweet. Yet if we have an early warm spell in spring, it may pay to take some risk, as often the plants, when once up, escape injury by frost. About middle of May plant in hills 3 feet apart each way, covering about 8 or 10 seeds half an inch and thin out to three plants to a hill, or plant in rows 3 feet apart, and thin out plants to stand 12 inches apart in the rows.
