With these precautions there should be no breakageof cylinders. The boiler is 70% ins. in diameter and its centeris 111 ins. above the rail. It is plentifully supplied with wash-out plugs and has a mud drum in front of the firebox. Thebrake shoes are at the rear of the drivers and trailers andthe truck wheels also have brakes.
