Laos, where these strings of bats were photographed, has a border with China but contrasts in that it is predominantly rural. Wild animal hunting for food is a tradition in Laotian countryside as in many parts of South East Asia. This is an isolated roadside stall but could be a source of coronavirus and covid 19 as the busy markets of China.
