Statue of Marcus Aurelius, second half of 2nd century. The torso is an 18th century Italian imitation of a 5th century Greek statue of an athlete. Marcus Aurelius (121-180) was Roman emperor from 161 until his death. Found in the collection of The Hermitage, St Petersburg.
