Thirty-five Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 214th Aviation Regiment were vaccinated on May 7, 2021, while in Bulgaria during exercise Swift Response, part of the DEFENDER-Europe 21 series of exercises. With the coordination of the Wiesbaden Army Health Clinic and 1-214th's fixed-wing aircraft of Echo company and rotary-wing aircraft of Charlie Company, the vaccines were packed, flown, and delivered to Bezmer Air Base, Bulgaria.
