Various Notes. The Louise Flower Shop has booked a number of important weddings for this month. It has been doing a large amount of decorating work. Sam Mas- ton is with this firm; before serving in France he was with George Shaffer. Fred Leapley has a quantity of im- portant work on hand, including several large weddings. G. V. S. BOSTON. The Market. Last week was a most depressing one climatically, with only one partly clear day at its close. This had an adverse effect on business, which proved to be quite poor until November 8, when it braced up encouragingly. November 10 and 11 the market had an improved tone, due in considerable measure to the "Say It with Flowers" campaign being waged by all local florists during the present week. Eoses, which have been selling at low prices of late, have now advanced and, with the gradual passing of the chrys- anthemum wave, will do better. Ar- rivals are considerably reduced, owing to the colder and less sunny weather ex- perienced. The newer varieties continue to have first call, with Columbia, Premier, Hadley and Ophelia in es
