Along the streams and in the valleys in which small springs occura growth of deciduous trees is found. The species are relatively fewin number, the predominating ones being the Cottonwood, willow, andbox elder. Their growth is such that they do not furnish good tim-ber, and their principal value, outside of supplying a poor quality offirewood, is in giving shade for cattle in the summer and shelter dur-ing winter storms.
