RT-PCR with degenerate oligonu- cleotide primers, and from the largest cDNA clone iso- lated are presented. Each sequence differs slightly from the other, and therefore the consensus sequence generated from this alignment does not represent any single Dpfpl sequence. It is likely that differences in the data sets reflect the existence of Dpfpl variants rather than errors introduced during amplification, because each set of PCR < kb.
