Pāhoa, Hawaii, May 24, 2018 – One of FEMA’s Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS) teams installs a miniature satellite to provide internet connectivity to an air monitoring station that will analyze gasses released during the Kīlauea volcanic eruption. Without internet, data about the air quality cannot be collected and evaluated.
