This tumor, pyriform in shape with stem towardthe fundus, springs from the posterior wall, all of which, expect8 mm. at the surface, is included in the growth. It extends for-ward involving the anterior wall, occluding the uterine canalat a point 30 mm. from the fundus. The cut surface varies inappearance and texture. The lower, central portion is necroticand sloughing and much of the substance has been removed withthe curette. The intact portion is smooth throughout and soft, centrally yellowish-red to pale yellow shading gradually to theouter border where it is almost white and the tissue firmer and.
