Another formula recommended by the United States Department of Agri- culture is:— Powdered strychnine—£ ounce. Baking soda—£ ounce. Mix dry, sift the mixture over one quart of rolled oats, stirring constantly. Heat this poisoned mixture until warm. Mix 3 quarts melted beef fat with one quart melted paraffin and sprinkle six tablespoonfuls of this mixture over the poisoned oats and stir. Place small quantities of this in small containers over the infested area.
