The Upper Coral-Bed is of Truellii hemera, and a por-tion or the whole of the Doulting Stone may be so as well; but, forthe present, the Doulting Beds (that is, the Rubbly Beds, Anabacia-Limestones, and Doulting Stone) are best regarded as of inter-Truellii-zigzag date; and the Dundry Freestone as of inter-Garan-tiance-Truellii date. In an Appendix (p. 424), Mr. S. S. Buckman has correlatedthese beds with those in Dorset, and in a future paper I purposeto deal with their equivalents in the South Cotteswolds. In another Appendix (p. 426), the late Mr. J. F. Walker and Ihave dealt with the Brachiopoda from the Fullers Earth, and havenamed several new species. Below are added figures of Ostrea Knorri:a form that does not seem to have often received its correct namein this country. Fig. 5.—Ostrea Knorri, 424 inferior oolite op the bath-dottltltstg district. [Nov. 1907. Appendix I.—On the Correlation of the Bath-Doulting Stratawith those of Dorset. By S. S. Buckman, Mr. Eichardson has asked me to say a few words about thecorrelation of the strata described by him with the Upper InferiorOolite + the Fullers-Earth rocks of Dorset. As I have had theopportunity of reading his careful exposition in manuscript, I verygladly accede to his wish. To make the subject clear I append the following Table (V,p. 425), giving the generalized sequence of ihe strata in North andSouth Dorset and correlating therewith the Bath-Doulting strata. About this Table I would make the following remarks:—Thereare three horizons which can be correlated without much difficulty, namely: (1) The Fullers-Earth Hock of Dorset and the FullersEarth of Midford ; (2) Beds with stout-whorled Parkinsonia ofSouth Dorset and the Anabacia-luiwesto-nes of Bath-
