Inhabits the Cape of Good Hope, particularly the Province ofAkter Brunties Hoogtens; met with there by Dr. Sparrman. ranks it with his Gobe-mouches. Bill brown-black, slender, andnearly strait; irides reddish ; general colour of the plumage brownishash-colour, streaked on the upper parts with dusky ; beneath bluishwhite ; rump and upper tail coverts the same ; tail dark brown,nearly black ; base and ends of the greater quills the same, in themiddle tawny orange-colour ; all but the two middle feathers of thetail tipped with dusky white; legs lead-colour, claws New-Holland; native name Murrigang. A.—Size of the other. Bill the same and black; back ash-colour, with dark brown streaks down the shafts of each feather;quills brown, but when a little expanded a large bed of rufousappears, arising from a bed of that colour in the middle
