For the gardener with a compara- tively small patch, it would- be easier and just as effective to use some stand- ard combination like Pyrox, since it comes in a convenient package, is easy to handle, and is not very expensive. There is no safe way to offer a time schedule for spraying or powdering for bugs or blight. The first dose should be given soon after the sprouts appear. After two weeks, enough new foliage will have come to demand another application. How- ever, if it rains soon after the first application and the mixture is washed off, one should not wait.
