ITALY - ALLIED LANDINGSSOUTH OF ROME - The crew of "Desert Romeo" a Sherman tank which knocked out 5 German guns in this sector; four of the guns were knocked out in 10 minutes. The tank was sent in to relieve men of the 24 Guards Bde. who were pinned down by heavy enemy fire, and the gunner Tpr.
