Percussion instruments include Large and small gongs, folk drum and sound drum and the hour glass drum. Arguably the most popular and best known song is 'Arirang'. There are literally hundreds of different versions of the song usually based on where the song is song translated means 'Beautiful, Dear', and is about a journey through a mountain pass called Arirang, there are many passes so named in Korea.
