Structure of stem and hydrophore similar to the South African material, though dimensions on the whole slightly smaller. Gonophores borne in numbers on hydrorhiza. Elongated barrel-shaped, with short pedicel and truncated distal end, lightly annulated. Reaching 1-35 mm. in length and 0-58 mm. in maximum diameter. Male and female similar in appearance and distinguishable only under the microscope.
