ANIMALS AT WAR: MOVING DAY AT HMS GOLDEN HIND, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 10 JULY 1945 - Petty Officer Irvine Farrell, of Leicester, kisses his pet cockatoo, 'Percy', as he carries a kit bag and suitcases during the move from tented camp to hutted shore establishment at HMS GOLDEN HIND, Sydney. Percy was presented to P/O Farrell by a citizen of Sydney. A change-over was made from the original canvas town at Warwick Farm Racecourse to the super camp at Hargrave Park. P/O Farrell appears to be moving the kit of a P/O Dalton Royal Navy, HMS Golden Fleece, Minesweeper, (1944)
