The Syllabus gives a wide range of topics, so that teachers may follow their own inclinations in selecting subject-matter. We hope that the outlines as given in this leaflet will be regarded merely as suggestions meant to be helpful, and by no means as the final or only way of presenting these topics. This leaflet is meant for the exclusive use of teachers, and should not be given to the pupils. There is too much information given for lessons for children; it is given for the purpose of assisting teachers so that they may get the pupils to observe for themselves. The matter suggested with each lesson is often more than can be comprehended by the children of 447.
